About Us
A brief history
Hydrogear was formed as an engineering firm specializing in mechanical engineering and hydraulic services.
Hydrogear is privately owned by Jakes Kruger and Mpho Makgate.
Jakes have been in the service delivery industry for 15 years and is responsible for Business Support Services. His technical career started in mining and engineering industry where he obtained experience in hydraulics and general engineering. His latter experience in information technology and financial services industry is extensive where he mainly focused on customer service delivery and managing relationships with service providers. He holds an Advanced Diploma in Project Management, Certificate in Marketing and Customer Centricity and various Business Management qualifications.
Mpho is a young and upcoming extremely talented individual with great vision and manages the financial side. He holds a degree in Chartered Accountancy (Honours) from Potchefstroom University. Here he participated in the CIMA (Chartered institute of management accountants) GBC (Global business challenge) competition, hosted in partnership with Barclays. He is the winner of various awards including the prestigious MTN Radio Awards.
